In addition to the Sunday School (see ‘Sundays
at Stockton Heath’),
the following activities cater for children and young people:
Alpha
Gang meets after school on Mondays from 3.30. – 5.00.p.m.
and caters for the 5-11 age group. Its activities include games, cookery
and a teaching time.
Rock
Solid caters for young people aged 11-14 and meets on Friday
evenings, 7.30.- 9.00.p.m. in the church hall. Each evening’s programme
is designed around a particular theme, which is developed through organised
games and group discussions.
WWJD? (What would Jesus do?)
is a meeting for young people (aged 11-18), held on Sunday evenings at
the same time as evening worship. The young people discuss matters relating
to their Christian lives.
Social
Activities. From time to time, various activities are held for
the young people, including football games, skiing and barbecues.
Merseyside Christian Youth Camps.
Parties of young people ranging from 9 to 18 years of age, plus a number
of leaders from Stockton Heath, are involved in Christian camps which
take place in North Wales every summer.
